10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. “Meet Team CasaCor Miami” – Cristina Bava, Editor in Chief of Content, Alex Stevens, International Director and Lucio Grimaldi, CEO of CasaCor Miami will meet with industry professionals, review portfolios and introduce the CasaCor experience to Market-goers. Visions of CasaCor, a visual tour showing a range of talents from the CasaCor experience will be on view throughout the day. 

CasaCor began 30 years ago in São Paulo, and has grown to become America’s most important collective of Interior Design, Architecture and Landscape Design, with over a half-million visitors to 25 markets in Brazil and Latin America in 2016. CasaCor makes its’ North American debut in Miami, winter, 2017.

10:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – “OH LÀ LÀ” celebrates three impeccable personas – one from Paris, two from Los Angeles – French furnishings designer Philippe Hurel, interior designer and craftsman, Philip Nimmo and interior and furnishings designer, Erinn Valencich. All three will be available to designers and architects to discuss current and upcoming projects.

10:10 a.m. – “Tantalizing and Luxurious Destinations” – Pamela Fiori, who has written four books for Assouline Publishing on the world’s most tantalizing and luxurious destinations, will speak about Capri, St. Barths, Palm Beach and Monte Carlo and what makes them all, in totally different ways, so legendary.

Ms. Fiori’s career in magazine publishing spans more than four decades. She was editor in chief of Town & Country, America’s premiere magazine for the affluent in America, for seventeen years. Before that, she was editor in chief of Travel & Leisure for fourteen years. Fiori is an authority on luxury, travel, style, connoisseurship and philanthropy. She resides with her husband in New York City, Palm Beach and East Hampton.

6:00 p.m. – “Hottest Hounds Atlanta” – Join Patti Dickey and John Hall Nelson with ADAC – The Atlanta Decorative Arts Center and The Atlantan for a fun-filled evening at J Nelson to honor philanthropist and interior designer Erika Brunson and to celebrate the release of “Hottest Hounds Atlanta”, a publication featuring Canines of Atlanta area pet lovers. In addition to the book release, there will be a live Canine Couture fashion show with adoptable pets from the Atlanta Humane Society, and a silent auction with items from area businesses.  All proceeds benefit Atlanta Humane Society.

10:30 a.m. – “Meet our Artisans and Manufacturers From Around the Globe,” – J Nelson celebrates Fall Market at South Florida Design Park with George Cameron Nash of Dallas-based Cameron Collection. The showroom also introduces two new European Collections: Bella Vista from Italy and Hamilton Conte Paris from France. Representatives will be on hand to meet guests.

1:00 p.m. – “Two Authors – Five Books” Maureen Footer and Stephen Salny join John Hall Nelson and J Nelson to present a lecture on American design legends. Ms. Footer’s recent publication on the mysterious society decorator who pioneered sophisticated American eclectic design, ‘George Stacey and the Creation of American Chic‘ has received international acclaim. Mr. Salny’s latest book ‘William Hodgins Interiors‘ is his fourth best seller, following his definitive monographs on Michael TaylorFrances Elkins and David Adler. The two will speak from a classical and modern perspective, focusing on the work of Stacey and Elkins, who were both independent, revolutionary and avant-garde, and belong to the pantheon of legendary interior decorators in America. Their clients were among society’s business, philanthropic and cultural elite, and included Grace KellyDiana VreelandBabe PaleyMarshall Field and Edward G. Robinson, among others. Footer and Salny will give an enchanting view of a bygone era of American interior decoration.

2:00 p.m. – “Champagne Reception” – Ms. Footer and Mr. Salny will meet guests, while signing and remarking copies of their publications.

1:00p.m. – “Style Spanning the Millenia” – The Decoration of Alexa Hampton and Stephen Sills   Sophistication,  taste, innovation, transformation: Stephen Sills and Alexa Hampton epitomize all of those.  Both decorators careers have spanned five decades collectively.  Mr. Sills approaches every project with sensitivity to the architecture, function and history of the space.  Architectural Digest described his work as “a lucid synthesis of opulence, rigor and surprise.”  His clients include Anna Wintour, the Newhouse familyLauren and Richard Dupont, among others. He is presently working on the Baccarat Restaurant and Residences in New York City and the renovation and restoration of the an 1889  schoolhouse attended by Tina Turner in Brownsville, Tennessee.  Alexa Hampton’s design is classic, traditional and eclectic.  Her projects span the globe from New York City to Hangzhon, China.  House Beautiful describes her as “a modern spirit with a soft spot for old fashioned good taste.”  

Both have appeared on the cover of Architectural Digest and numerous other publications, and both are members of the AD 100, the most prestigious list of designers the world over.  

Ms. Hampton and Mr. Sills will hold a conversation with a visual presentation showing their “Style Spanning the Millenia.”  They will also sign and remark copies of their recent publications.

1:00p.m. – “Legends of Design – Mario Buatta and Geoffrey Bradfield” -Buatta and Bradfield discuss their careers with Lloyd Princeton.  Buatta, aptly named “The Prince of Chintz” has designed interiors for S.I. Newhouse, Malcolm Forbes, Nelson Doubleday, Henry Ford II, Barbara Walters, Marian Carey, among others.  Bradfield has decorarted residences for Oliver Stone, the late King Hussein of Jordan, the estate of Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney and many “Silent Celebrities”.  Both have appeared in Architectural Digest and publications the world over, numerous times.

2:00 p.m. – “Conversation with Nancy Corzine,” – John Hall Nelson hosts a very special lecture and visual presentation by the Los Angeles – New York based interior designer and style icon. 10:30 a.m. – “Florida Design Designers’ Portfolio Review” – Susan Gibson Howard, Editorial Laison from Florida Design Magazine will be available to review designer portfolios. Ms. Howard attends major international trade show events and writes reviews on emerging trends, colors, finishes, patterns and fashion forward design.

11:30 a.m. – Iran Issa-Khan – J Nelson hosts artist-photographer and society maven Iran Issa-Khan, whose iconic photographs are presented throughout the showroom. Issa-Khan will sign copies of her recently published monograph from Whitehaus Press, Photographs, with Foreword by Pritzker Prize winning architect Zaha Hadid.
